Our History:

Established in 2004, Summit Radio began with just five ambitious students in a classroom closet. On Dec. 21, 2006, their very first podcast was recorded and uploaded to RS Radio β€œThe Summit.” For years, adviser Clay Zigler led his students on their broadcasting journey, airing solely on the internet. In June of 2015, RS Radio – now KFTN 92.7 – was granted an FCC license and became an 89 watt, student-led official radio station. Special thanks to Megan Nesbitt and Megan Stabile, class of 2018, for creating our website!
