Our History:

Established in 2004, Summit Radio began with just five ambitious students in a classroom closet. On Dec. 21, 2006, their very first podcast was recorded and uploaded to RS Radio “The Summit.” For years, adviser Clay Zigler led his students on their broadcasting journey, airing solely on the internet. In June of 2015, RS Radio – now KFTN 92.7 – was granted an FCC license and became an 89 watt, student-led official radio station. Special thanks to Megan Nesbitt and Megan Stabile, class of 2018, for creating our website!
